Freakout Festival is back in Ballard for its seventh year

Freakout Festival is here again! What started as a Psych-Rock/Punk festival has morphed over the years to feature some of Upper Left’s best talent from all genres — and this year, they’re freaking out internationally! With talent hailing from Mexico, Canada, and France this year, don’t overlook this lineup.

As one of the last surviving independent music festivals in Seattle, Freakout Festival retains that DIY vibe, with scrappy, unbeatable curation, that the city has always been known for. You’ll rarely find bands shredding _on_ the bar during Capitol Hill Block Party, and you certainly won’t catch Death Valley Girls in a 400 person venue anywhere at Bumbershoot — and in the Pacific Northwest, a weekend festival for under $100 is nearly impossible to find these days. But at Freakout Festival, you can have all of that and more. With exclusively local sponsors and co-signed by KEXP, there is really nothing left like it in the Greater Seattle Area.
