Support Ballard Food Bank’s Mission of Food Justice for All

Now that we’re in the thick of the holiday season and all its excess, there’s no more critical time than right now to come together and remember there’s enough to go around.

Nobody should have to go without nutritious food, the company of a beloved pet, or the ability to keep themselves and their surroundings clean. These are basic human rights- yet our most vulnerable neighbors face significant, systemic obstacles in trying to meet these needs for themselves.

The Ballard Food Bank and Community Resource Hub assists members of our community facing trying times in an environment that honors their dignity and worth as an individual.

Clients can obtain essential items in a comfortable, grocery-style environment, have a free, lovingly-prepared hot meal at the Kindness Cafe, and access essential services like housing assistance, veteran’s benefits, and medical care all under one roof. They also provide grocery deliveries for our housebound neighbors and discreet weekend and summer food assistance for students.

Through their commitment to remove barriers and meet anyone in need exactly where they’re at, Ballard Food Bank provides the critical stepping stone many need to keep their heads above water during a challenging period in their lives.

Join us in our efforts to support the Ballard Food Bank by bringing any of the following food, pet care, hygiene, or child care items to the designated drop-off boxes at all Lux Locations.
