Elevated Collection 007: Rich M. Stevens
The latest installment of our Elevated Collection features the incredibly intricate works of Rich M Stevens, a featured artist from our neighbors at Push/Pull Seattle. His mixed media pieces showcase his skills in drawing, collage work, detail and satirical social commentary.
From the Artist:
“By the year 2400 AD, Pangea has been reassembled and renamed. The United Global State of Panamericorp, under the watchful eye of Global Overlord-elect George Hussein Clinton LVII, is an exponentially flourishing society run by mandatory and instant hyper-voting. Due to their divisiveness, unanimous votes have abolished sexualities, races, religions, and political affiliations. Time, deemed too depressing, has also been abolished. Infrequent human-to-human interactions have left most people unable to understand facial cues and displays of emotion. Because of this, Thought Manifestation Helmets have mecome the main mode of communication.
In the year 2500 AD, after the events of the Great Double-Cross, humankind decides to establish one unanimous religion to preserve hope and purpose. A world where people are paid based on consumption needs and a religion based on consumption, as a means to enlightenment. The Church of the Highest Consumer is founded to this end.
The work displayed is commissioned by The Church of the Highest Consumer through wormhole intervention projection technology to be discovered in the year 2500 AD, as holy artifacts to establish the sanctity of The Church.”
