Robin Walker has received scholarships, grants and fellowships for her work, 
all over the world. And just around the corner from our Ballard store, in Fremont, her ideas come to life through her distinct creative process. Areas of controlled technique alternate with expressive drawing and painting, encouraging the viewer to consider the interplay of powerful emotion and studied concentration, in each work.
For Walker, expression is incredibly personal and she believes art and expressive mark making is a wonderful way for women to voice their existence, and all the complexities and nuances that accompany it; the process and the product are both physical manifestations of “the personal is political”.
