YASSA is a pop artist based in Seattle, WA. 
Identity is a cornerstone to the foundation of YASSA’s work and the intersection of those identities is fiercely evident throughout her wide body of work. As a Leo, Syrian/Armenian, an immigrant & queer, her work touches on everything from astrology, to politics, to love and self-determination.
By juxtaposing her identity with American popular culture, she is able to shift perspectives surrounding things that we have otherwise become normalized too. Her work is colorful and ranges across all mediums, including photography, ink and paper, acrylic on canvas and interactive social media experiences.
