What better time to explore the beauty of cooking with cannabis than during the holidays! (Lux) Pot Shop’s Insanely Easy Crock-Pot Garlic Cannabutter is a fool proof process and can be spread on a roll, added to mashed potatoes, used to sautee Brussels sprouts, or wherever else you find a recipe calling for garlic butter! The great thing about cannabutter is that it’s only as strong as you make it – and if you’re worried about getting anyone too high, low THC, high CBD cannabutter is just as fun to explore! We’ve got hundreds of strains to choose from between our Ballard, Lake City and Fremont (coming soon!) locations – so the possibilities are endless.

CANNABUTTER SUPPLIES:

  • Crockpot
  • Cheesecloth
  • Plastic storage container with lid
  • Wooden spoon

GARLIC CANNABUTTER INGREDIENTS

Prep time: 5 minutes ; 6-18 hours to cook.

Yields 1 Cup Cannabutter

  • 4-cups water
  • 2-sticks unsalted butter
  • ¼ oz of your favorite cannabis (many use shake/popcorn size nugs)
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

Add all ingredients into the crock-pot and set the temperature at LOW.

Slow cook mixture for 6 to 18 hours — the longer it cooks within this time frame will determine the potency of the cannabutter and the taste of cannabis. The more cannabis you use in your recipe, the more potent it will be.

After you have slow cooked the ingredients to your desire potency, you’ll need to strain and separate the flower from your infused butter.

Strain the mixture with the cheesecloth into a plastic food-storage container and chill in refrigerator for approximately 6-hours or until the butter solidifies.

Once the butter has solidified, the butter and water will separate and, you can simply pour the water out of the container.
