ALOHA FRIDAY HASH COMPANY: GOLD LEAF GARDENS INVITES YOU TO EXPERIENCE A TIMELESS HAWAIIAN TRADITION

WHAT IS AN “ALOHA FRIDAY”, ANYWAY?

Serving as the inspiration for the mainland’s “casual fridays”, Aloha Fridays were originally instituted in Hawai’i in the 60’s as a way to encourage people to wear Aloha shirts to the office. However, Aloha Fridays have come to mean so much more to the people of Hawai’i: positivity, celebration, and folks coming together at the end of a hard work week, all in the name of Aloha.

Cold drinks, great food, incredible weed. The sand, the surf and, most importantly, the smiling faces of people around you. All of these things make Aloha Fridays the most anticipated day of the week.

No one loves Aloha Fridays, and their air of camaraderie and good vibes, quite like Gold Leaf Gardens. An exceptional producer-processor based in Lacey, WA, Gold Leaf Gardens is made up of a talented team of individuals with decades of experience in traditional Hawaiian cultivation methods. Since the MMJ days, Gold Leaf Gardens has been putting a little Aloha in every product they create, earning them a place in the hearts of the people of Washington and beyond.

But after the difficult couple of years we’ve all had, they realized: no amount of Aloha in the world is too much.

The Aloha Friday Project aims to spread the cheer and connection associated with this cherished tradition. From events designed to bring people together to a new line of products, Gold Leaf Gardens has pulled out all the stops to bring those Aloha Friday feels to this new endeavor.

FRIDAY FUN, FRESH-SQUEEZED

The product line at the center of the Aloha Friday Project is itself a crowd pleaser: solventless hash rosin and rosin-infused prerolls, at a price point that makes them accessible to everyone.

The hash rosin is crafted in-house using Gold Leaf Gardens flower. Utilizing smaller quantities of flower that wouldn’t be enough to yield a whole batch of rosin on their own to create strain blends is key here- it means less waste, and a high-quality product for a reasonable price.

Their infused prerolls feature a similar strain-blending technique, and as of right now there are 4 blends, all of their names a nod to an iconic facet of the culture of Hawai’i. There’s the Lava Flow, a face-melting, gassy blend. The Rainbow Shave Ice blend is the fruity, tart, refreshing one. Then there’s the Coconut Cake, a cake-y blend with hints of tropical flavor and last, but certainly not least is their Macadamia Nut Cookies, with all the nutty, buttery flavor you’re craving .

No matter which you roll with, you’ll get a taste of Aloha Friday with each hit.

PUFF, PUFF, PASS ON THE POSITIVITY

Aloha Friday products aren’t just created with Aloha! They’re a way to touch the lives of thousands of individuals with Aloha.

Giving someone handwritten message isn’t a radical act, but it holds so much value in terms of personal connection. Yet in the era of technology, when written communication has moved almost entirely to digital platforms, the handwritten note is something of a rarity.

Gold Leaf Gardens believes they shouldn’t be. This transformative power of kind, handwritten messages is the inspiration behind the Aloha Friday Project.

Each Aloha Friday product contains a one-of-a-kind note from another person, offering support, encouragement, warm fuzzy feelings, or a laugh to whoever gets it.

And not only do you get something inspirational to mull over while you enjoy your joint or dab, you get the chance to give the same thing back!

Aloha Friday infused prerolls also contain a ready to mail, stamped postcard with a space to write your own message. Mail it back to Gold Leaf Gardens, and it’ll go into a future Aloha Fridays product to brighten the day of someone else. Putting goodness out into the world has never been so easy (and dank)!

Keep an eye out for their events, too: The Aloha Friday Project has already made several appearances at venues all around Washington to pass out their delicious musubis and collect more positive affirmations to distribute in their products.

You may even see some of their employees volunteering at charitable organizations around town. The Aloha Friday Project spotlights local organizations and small businesses that are spreading aloha like the Conscious Eatery, a nonprofit cafe that gives a meal to someone in need for every meal sold.

THE WEEKEND IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Gold Leaf Gardens has, perhaps more than any other company in Washington, always incorporated Aloha into everything they do- from their flower grown with Aloha to their love they show their supporters at every opportunity. Now, Gold Leaf Gardens wants to help us to spread Aloha amongst each other.

It’s been a long couple of years. Let’s all come together and celebrate with great weed, great friends, and the spirited, carefree unity of a sunny Aloha Friday.
