As a company that values getting outside and exploring everything Washington has to offer, we are working to empower our communities to “Blaze Responsibly” and take action to ensure Washington remains wild for generations to come.

Supporting sustainable vendors and participating in our Ganja Gone Wild giving event is a great way to do your part cityside. But when you’re hitting the trails, there are even more ways you can be kind to the environment. 

The most important one? You probably already knew it, but it bears repeating. Pack it in, pack it out.

The Collab

To encourage you to keep those doob tubes out of the Sound and your edible wrappers off the ground, we worked with our friends at Kavu to make some adventure-friendly gear!

Other ways to blaze responsibly

Still wondering how you can keep your stoney outdoor excursions sustainable? 

Here are some other Washington Wild-approved pro-tips!

Know Before You Go: Trails, roads, or certain areas may be closed or unaccessible due to various factors. Check local weather forecasts, fire restrictions, and official websites before heading out.
Plan and Prepare: Reservations and/or permits may be required for campsites or trails to help minimize recreational impact—please respect these restrictions. Make sure you have the gear you need an are comfortable with its proper use. Always have a back-up plan.
Don't Play With Fire: This is particularly important in dry areas and seasons. Tossing a roach you thought was out could have devastating effects. To minimize fire danger, consider enjoying edibiles instead of a joint, drown campfires completely, and always adhere to the conditional fire restrictions in your area.
Leave No Trace: Respect the land, water, wildlife, and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands you are recreating on. Leave what you find and always pack-in and pack-out all waste. (Yes, this includes 'biodegradable' things like fruit peels or cores and nut shells!)
Respect Others: There is space for everyone and countless ways to recreate. Be kind to all and aware of your surroundings-be considerate of when and where you light up.
Build a Safe and Inclusive Outdoors: Be an active part of making the outdoors safe and welcoming for all identities and abilities.
Bring Extra Water: You should always bring more water than you think you'll need incase of an emergency, but this is especially true for those of us who like to pair our adventures with herb to avoid cotton mouth and soothe your throat.
