There isn’t a single day where it doesn’t cross our mind at least once: we’re incredibly grateful to be in Washington.

And that’s not just because our lovely state has the best cannabis in the nation. The real reason we wake up every morning feeling so fortunate to live here?

Just look around you!

Even in Seattle proper, you don’t have to walk far to catch glimpses of our state’s majesty. Our quintessential evergreen forests and pebbly shorelines are sprinkled throughout the city like M&Ms in trail mix.

When you bring cannabis into the equation, Washington’s natural wonders go from magnificent….to downright magical.

IT’S ON ALL OF US TO PROTECT THE WILD LANDS THAT GIVE US SO MUCH IN RETURN

And it all starts with the products you consume.

So this summer, we’re giving you the opportunity to support sustainable cannabis and local environmental nonprofit Washington Wild in one fell swoop.

We’ve partnered with 6 vendors, handpicked for their savvy production practices and adventure-apt offerings. From July 11th through September 5th, 20% of the net proceeds of their products will go to help Washington Wild further their mission of protecting the best of what our state has to offer.

ABOUT WASHINGTON WILD

A Seattle-based nonprofit, Washington Wild has been protecting and defending wild places in Washington State since 1979 through education, advocacy, and civic engagement.

Thanks to Washington Wild and their partner organizations, Seattle has more protected lands surrounding it than any other major city in the U.S. by two-fold (3.6 million acres!)

Whether it be preserving the integrity of local water sources or encouraging sustainable farming and development, Washington Wild builds coalitions amongst citizens and local businesses to enact the policy that keeps our state the ecological jewel that it is.

Although Washington has an abundance of high- quality waters in need of protection, to date, Ecology has not designated a single ORW. WA Wild believes that needs to change, so we coordinated a series of letters to nominate the Cascade River (Skagit County), Green River (Skamania and Lewis Counties), and Napeequa River (Chelan County). Upon review, WA Wild's nominees were deemed eligible, and Ecology will be accepting public comments this summer.
A photo of the Alpines Lakes Wilderness with the following caption: Signed into law by President Obama in 2014, the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions extended federal protection to 22,000 acres of pristine low- elevation wilderness and designated 30 miles of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie and 10 miles of the Pratt as Wild and Scenic Rivers. The effort to protect this area, which took several years and four separate Congressional attempts, is a testament to Washington Wild's dogged commitment to conservation and our ability to build diverse coalitions that ultimately lead to success.

Protecting over 106,000 acres of old and mature growth forest, the Wild Sky Wilderness provides pristine habitat for endangered and other sensitive species, including the northern spotted owl, marbled murrelet, bald eagle, mountain goat, pine marten, pileated woodpecker, cougar, wolverine, lynx, and grizzly bear. These forested headwaters also support watershed health downstream and spawning grounds for salmon and steelhead.
