We just hit 10 years
and truly can’t believe it’s been a decade of Community. Culture. Cannabis. We couldn’t do it without all you fine herb lovers. As a thank you to all the support over the years, we threw a free party at the beautiful Delusional Bird clothing in downtown Seattle. Featuring tiny desk style performances, vintage shopping, a bunch of giveaways, and more fun.
Performances by
Taylar Elizza Beth
Taylar Elizza Beth aka T.E.B. got the night started right and kept it lit till the end with a DJ set that transformed from sativa to indica vibes with sounds to match the highs. A crucial element to the overall vibe. Once the music stopped, the party was clearly over. TEB’s musical talents go far beyond DJing, as she is one of our favorite hip hop/indie pop artists in Seattle. Taylar’s powerful yet vulnerable style is unmistakable. The unfiltered honesty in Taylar’s lyrics with incredible production from WD4D will give you the confidence to be your truest self.
Lovely Colours
Our latest sponsored artists Lovely Colours came highly recommended from La Fonda as ‘this is a band people will show up for’ and that is exactly what happened. We told everyone to expect tiny desk style performances but in reality this was a kick ass rock show inside a clothing store. There’s a chemistry between the band that you can feel through the speakers. Clearly band practice is the highlight of the week, the energy is laid back yet executed perfectly. It was our first time seeing them and universally heard ‘holy shit, that was good’ from everyone around.
La Fonda
Our relationship with La Fonda went from being fans to friends once we opened our Belltown location. With their beautiful vintage clothing store Delusional Bird opening nearby, we started talking ideas about how to collab on something fun for the downtown neighborhood. With our mutual obsessions of music, art, and good weed, working together on this first sesh cannabis concert only made sense. La Fonda is genuinely a Seattle gem. Not only because they will put on a free three hour performance, but how they inspire all types of artists to just make it happen. Some of the kindest and hardest working artists you will meet. The clothes are fun, the songs are deep.
Parisalexa
We first met Parisalexa when she was performing at the Vera Project 10 years ago. Completely blown away. Immediately became our first sponsored artist (once she turned 21) and forever a Seattle icon. A song writer that blesses the fortunate vocals that receive the words. A singer with a range leaving your jaw on the floor. A Paris performance is truly medicinal. So much love.
Kenshi Killzzz
Genre-bending, lo-fi infused, and absolutely enchanting, Kenshi’s songs have the power to remind everyone that musical experimentation results in captivating tracks that sound as good from the first listen as they do the fiftieth. Fun to smoke tough to then ponder about life and how to help others live to the fullest. From custom skate boards to laser engraved cannagars, we’ve done some awesome projects together in the last couple years.
Vendor Booths
What would we be without our incredible vendors. The hard work and passion put in to produce the best cannabis possible is very evident. With more years of experience than we’ve been legal, these OGs have been providing since the early medical days. From learning how to grow dank in a basement to now having automated facilities, the smoke has always been fire. We are very grateful to have good relationships with producers that care about the plant and user.
Gold Leaf Gardens
One of our earliest vendors, Gold Leaf Gardens ‘grown with aloha’ philosophy takes natural Hawaiian farming techniques to cultivate the sacred cannabis plant in Lacey, Washington. We’ve always appreciated the kind people and labor of love put in to provide effective, sustainable smoke. We’ve done a lot of community events over the years and Gold Leaf has always said yes.
Fire Bros
Always a good time with the Bros! Growing great cannabis isn’t easy, but Fire Bros sure makes it seem that way. With an effortless steeze to a very competitive market, Fire Bros reminds us to not take things so seriously and enjoy the giggly moments everyday.
Plaid Jacket
Plaid Jacket also the creators of Flip Side, were so busy running around talking to everyone at the party, we didn’t even get a pic! The first thing we noticed is their strong relationships with their fan base. Asking the right questions to understand what people want and then developing the new new based on the feedback. We believe growing for the consumer needs rather than the companies takes egos out the equation with a focus on purposeful cannabis.
Journeyman
The kindest lemonade stand ever. Edibles might look similar, but the effects often vary. Even with the same 10mg dose. Journeyman keeps it real and radical with their all natural hash rosin gummies and lemonades. Whether you’re a daily toker or canna-curious, the smiley highs are quickly noticeable but gentle enough to relax and enjoy. A refreshing treat with a friendly team, got everyone feeling great!
Rootie
From Rootie and all of us, thank you so much for all the love over the years.
